When you work with Livalittle, either as a client or a crew member, you’re supporting our core initiative to create a film industry that better reflects our diverse communities.
The film industry is a world full of creativity, passion, and dedication, yet, it’s been marred by limited opportunities for those without the necessary financial support, mentorship, or education.
As a Chicano, a Director of Photography, a former high school film teacher, and the founder of Livalittle, J.D. Gonzales recognizes the privilege we have to make a living in the arts.
Thus, we believe passing down information and mentoring careers is the best way to give voice to stories that have been overlooked.
We give education and mentorship to new and mid-career filmmakers breaking into the film industry. We give connections and resources, and ensure they’re not just ready to be on set, but they’re ready for the business of freelance.
Using this, we encourage our teams to mentor as well, to build trust and accept our trust, and to share their knowledge openly so we don’t make mistakes. With this, we exceed expectations because the reward of knowledge is infinite.
